AS8 Organization's Community Representative Project what, why, and how?

“Ding"- a Message just comes to your messenger. And then you woke up from sleep after struggling a lot whether to get up or not. You scrolled messages and then you got out of your bed and started the journey of the day.
This is your everyday routine, right? Then one day you discovered that many apps give messaging services. Some of them are better for privacy, some for group messaging, some for project management. Then your daily routine suddenly changes with the arrival of COVID. Then the demand for digital products skyrocketed, this time you can truly relate. You also see the demand increase in the related industries, whereas the larger portion couldn't afford to pay their employees. You also start having ideas for meeting these demands; it's the perfect time with a high success rate. But what now?
The answer is: start coding.
But the internet is flooded with resources without proper mentorship. So, there are developer communities online to help. In the case of Bangladesh, none are proper. With that in mind, the AS8 Organization started its journey. We have already successfully launched several projects.
Our first event was the PyCampaign20 event. It was originally a Python Learning Campaign with 25 classes. After that, we launched the CodeInception event in collaboration with Bash Woman Community and Vision Green Organization. This event is currently running. This event has 5 professional speakers from Bangladesh and 5 from abroad. Many of them are the founder and CEO of the organization and even engineers from companies like IBM and Tata.
We are also going to start another project called ProgramNexus. Community Representatives will play a major role in that project.
Now let us talk about The Community Representative Project. It is a recent initiative of The AS8 Organization. Every community has its potential and problems. And only a member from that community can identify those. So we want you to represent your community so that we can deliver our services based on their needs. This will result in high efficiency for both parties. All you have to do is to be responsive and carry on your tasks properly in time. Let’s see how a community representative project will work.
Our all tasks are project-based. The term of the Community Representative Project is for 5 months from August to December. We will hold 5 monthly meeting sessions and more than 6 workshop sessions. At the ending of the term, everyone will receive certification and a letter of appreciation. We will be recording all the contributions of a representative and will show them it on a monthly basis. We’ll provide promotions and other facilities on the basis of their contribution.
Let’s look over the responsibilities in detail which a community representative should maintain:
- First and foremost a community representative should maintain the code of conduct of the organization properly. By code of conduct, we basically mean that our representatives must act with faith in certain commitments.
- You must attend the meetings and skill development workshops. With joining regularly, at times you also have to carry on tasks like summarizing the meeting, taking screenshots and short videos of the highlights, hosting, etc. according to your skill and preference.
- With a learning and growth mindset you have to take part in our projects and make them as proficient as you can.
- The main responsibility of a community representative is to act as a community wheel in order to cover greater distances. The community representatives advertise our community on social platforms to get more and more people connected with us. So that way we can reach out to more people. Don't worry the tasks would be considering your schedule, so that everyone can learn how to code.
- As our task is project-based, so until your term is over, this time up to December, you are required to participate in multiple global and local projects. For example, representatives have to actively contribute to the upcoming ProgramNexus project. Let me give you an idea of what the representatives have to do with this project. In the ProgramNexus, we will be signing collaboration agreements with various IT clubs of the country. The representatives will make connections with the president or vice president of a particular club. For each club, we will assign one or two representatives. The representative will be connected with the club’s group and he/she has to report to us their monthly workflow, the veracity of the information provided by them needs to be verified by our representatives.

Now let's talk about Skill Development Workshops. First of all, please don’t assume that we will only organize coding-related sessions in our organization. Yes, there will be 1-2 coding-related sessions, but we will focus more on career development and soft-skill development. The topic of our first 4 sessions is -
